Morgan was born and raised in Beatrice, Nebraska, where she graduated from Beatrice High School in 2008. She received her Bachelors of Arts Degree in International Studies, minoring in Political Science and Spanish, from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2012. From undergraduate studies, Morgan went on to obtain her Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2015. Morgan first began practice in Osceola, Nebraska, where she represented a wide range of clients in a number of different of areas of law, gaining invaluable experience through both private hire and court-appointed cases. In July of 2017, Morgan opened up her own practice, M.L. Smith Law Office, L.L.C, in Columbus, Nebraska, where she has been practicing ever since. Morgan resides in Osceola, Nebraska, the hometown of her husband, Dylan Smith. Morgan loves to serve both the Columbus and Osceola communities, as she is an active member of the Chamber of Commerce in each town.
Kaitlyn K. Oeltjen

Kaitlyn grew up on a farm outside of Clarkson, Nebraska, where she graduated from Clarkson High School in 2015. Kaitlyn received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Global studies with minors in Spanish and Human Rights from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2019. Subsequently, Kaitlyn earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law and received concentration certificates in Family Law and Litigation Skills. Kaitlyn also participated in the Children’s Justice Clinic while in law school where she received training in child welfare laws to be an effective advocate for juveniles.
